Plot synopsis
The film is about the family of Harihar Roy, a poor priest. The family consists of Harihar's wife, Sarbajaya, a daughter, Durga, and a son, Apu, and also Indir Thakrun, Apu and Durga's elderly aunt. Neighbors are always complaining that Durga steals fruits from their gardens.
The film tells the story of the family's struggling life.
Based on the novel by Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay.

My Opinion
Pather Panchali is a great movie- it is emotional, interesting, and has a touching story. Especially remarkable are the acting- Subir Banerjee, Uma Dasgupta, give excellent performances. Chunibala Devi, at the old age of 80, gave an excellent performance in the movie.
