Plot synopsis
In 1947, Andy Dufresne, a banker, is convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and is sentenced to life imprisonment at Shawshank State Penitentiary. A short time after arriving there, Andy befriends Ellis Boyd Redding, known as ''Red'', who is also serving a life sentence. Over the years, a number of events occur which make Andy an important person in the prison.

The Shawshank Redemption was nominated for seven Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor (Morgan Freeman), but the film didn't win any of them. It was also nominated for several Golden Globe Awards, and many other awards.
My opinion
The Shawshank Redemption really touched me- it is such a nice movie! Indeed, a great film! Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman gave so much excellent performances...... the story was so much nice. Really, it is one of the best films that I have seen. It was really very, very much touching. I really loved it...
